Description of the wine

The village of Tautavel is ideally located in Roussillon between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. The Tautavel region is rich in history, it is one of the cradles of Humanity.
The Vineyard extends over 20 ha of stony soils, on very calcareous terraces and hillsides exposed to the South East. The climate is regulated by the Tramontane which promotes the ripening of the grapes.
It is considered the quintessence of the Tautavel terroir.
It received a score of 92-94/100 from the Wine Advocate.

It is ranked in the Top 100 UK Languedoc Roussillon

Best enjoyed at 14-16°C with roasted or grilled red meats, stews, blue cheeses, camembert.

Vinification and aging

From a selection of the best plots on the Tautavel terroir, the grapes are harvested manually when optimum maturity is reached. They come exclusively from old low-yielding Grenache Noir vines. Traditional vinification is carried out in cement vats and a long maceration of three weeks is carried out with a temperature not exceeding 27°C. The maceration must be carried out gently for better preservation of the fruit and aromas. The wine is aged for 12 months in barrels.

Tasting note

Beautiful deep garnet red color. Complex nose and powerful, with notes of garrigue, spices and fruits ripe. On the palate, the black Grenache, vinified at low temperature and aged in new barrels for twelve month, perfectly expresses the freshness of the fruits black. In the end, the spicy, liquorice and toasted notes brighten and add complexity to the wine.

What are the delivery times and costs?

Although all orders are shipped within 24 hours, it can take up to 48 hours in some cases.
We then offer different delivery methods:

Delivery to a collection point takes between 2 and 5 working days from the time of dispatch.
Standard delivery takes between 2 and 3 business days from the time of dispatch.
Express delivery takes between 24 and 48 hours from the time of dispatch.
Pallet delivery takes between 4 and 5 working days from the time of dispatch.

Delivery costs depend on the delivery address, the number of bottles and the delivery option (mondial relay, express, standard, 24h, on pallet, etc.) and the price is calculated at the time of validation of the basket.
Standard delivery is free in France for orders over €125 and in other countries for orders over €300.
