Description of the wine

1877 pays homage to modern times, the revolution of the steam engine and the first railway line from Saint Chinian which made it possible to transport the region's wines to the capitals.

To be enjoyed at 18°C with red meats grilled and mature cheeses.

Vinification and aging

The work begins in the vineyard with a selection of the plots most suited to producing this type of wine. The grapes are harvested largely manually. A double sorting system is carried out in the vineyard and in the cellar. The vinification is traditional and the grapes are therefore destemmed before the maceration phase begins, which lasts between 3 and 4 weeks. A pressing is carried out, then giving way to malolactic fermentation. 33% of the wine is aged for 9 months in barrels, the rest being kept in vats.

Tasting note

The dress is a deep red. The nose offers an intense, fine and complex with notes of cocoa, bay leaf, tapenade and black pepper. The palate is rich and suave with pure and complex flavors of black fruits, sweet spices. A beautiful long and velvety finish.

What are the delivery times and costs?

Although all orders are shipped within 24 hours, it can take up to 48 hours in some cases.
We then offer different delivery methods:

Delivery to a collection point takes between 2 and 5 working days from the time of dispatch.
Standard delivery takes between 2 and 3 business days from the time of dispatch.
Express delivery takes between 24 and 48 hours from the time of dispatch.
Pallet delivery takes between 4 and 5 working days from the time of dispatch.

Delivery costs depend on the delivery address, the number of bottles and the delivery option (mondial relay, express, standard, 24h, on pallet, etc.) and the price is calculated at the time of validation of the basket.
Standard delivery is free in France for orders over €125 and in other countries for orders over €300.
