Description of the wine
Located upstream of the Pitrous valley, at the foot of the famous Cabrieres scales, the plot named Plantabelle, enjoys an exceptional pedo-climatic situation. Located on the heights of the village at an altitude of 150 m, this plot benefits from optimal sunshine and constant natural ventilation. Inserted in a forest environment where the holm oak rubs shoulders with the pubescent oak, a sign of a temperate Mediterranean climate, this plot is planted with old vines of Grenache noir (70%) and Syrah (30%).
The soils made up of colluvial schists, draining, allow deep rooting, while moderating the vigor of the vines.
Old vines, grape varieties adapted to the terroir, soils regulating rainfall variations, low yields, biodynamic viticulture, perfect health and maturity of polyphenols as a trigger for manual harvests are the essential elements which contribute to the typicality of this vintage.

Vinification and aging
Harvested by hand, transferred to the winery in small crates, the grapes are vatted after destemming. The grapes of good maturity deliver their potential in color, aromatic and phenolic components, through maceration of variable duration depending on the vintage (7 to 10 days). At the end of winter the wines are aged in barrels for 12 months. Marketing occurs after one year of bottling
Tasting note
Dark and purplish in color in its youth,
becomes lighter and more tiled as we get older.
An olfactory expression dominated by fruits
ripe, notes of Garrigue and menthol.
In the mouth, density and elegance characterize
this vintage.
Finishes with silky tannins and a beautiful
persistence and aromatic complexity, where
combine notes of black fruits, liquorice and
roasting.
