Vinification and ageing
The harvest is triggered after very precise monitoring of maturity and a daily tasting of berries. The harvest is manual and the grapes are meticulously sorted upon entering the cellar. Carignan and a part of the Syrah are vinified in whole bunches. Grenache is destemmed and vinified in traditional maceration. After fermentation malolactic fermentation of wines, the different grape varieties are blended and the wine is placed in French oak barrels for 12 months of aging. We We select the best coopers, in order to adapt the choice of origins of wood and type of heating, for each vintage. The wines are neither glued, nor filtered before bottling. The bottles are then kept for 12 months before being marketed.
Tasting notes
The color is a beautiful deep garnet. On the nose, Le Viala is powerful, it reveals notes of ripe fruits and violets. Very nice attack, smooth tannins, woody notes, beautiful balance, infinite length. In the mouth, this vintage is very delicious! The Viala has great aging potential.
