Wine description
Between sea, mountains, sun and wind, the wines of Banyuls are above all wines of pleasure. The vines, exposed to the generosity of the climate, give wines of expression and quintessence, rich, powerful, elegant and distinguished, carrying within them the warmth of the sun and the rusticity of the schist soil. The terroir and the wines of Banyuls are expressed through a king grape variety: Grenache.

Vinification and ageing
The harvest is manual and carried out after a check of the maturity for each plot, by tasting the berries. After a traditional start of vinification, fermentation is blocked before pressing by a "on grain" mutage. This technique, associated with a long maceration (from 14 to 20 days), allows optimal extraction of aromatic substances and tannic. Mutage on grains can only be carried out on excellent quality harvests. Part of the wine is aged in barrels while the other is aged in vats in order to preserve the fruity aromas.
Tasting notes
The dress is ruby red with highlights violins. Banyuls reveals aromas of fruit on the nose ripe reds and blacks. On the palate, this vintage is ample, balanced, on aromas of blackcurrant and jammy blackberries, supported by delicate woody notes.
