AT THE HEART OF THE 2020 HARVEST

With a rainy spring and a hot summer, this year's work in the vineyard was particularly attentive, aiming to accompany nature and each vine with respect right up to the harvest.

After 9 weeks of harvesting, going through the rows of vines, observing and tasting the grapes, appreciating the evolution of their ripeness, carefully welcoming them into the cellar, we had the feeling, at the last stroke of the pruning shears on October 15, that we had worked together to ensure the birth of a great 2020 vintage.

Vintage 2019 - Trends and prospects in Gérard Bertrand vineyards
Current conditions augur well for an excellent vintage.We have a very good grape/leaf surface balance. The grapes are in excellent health, with functional foliage (no mineral deficiencies). Like every year, we'll be taking care to reach the right level of ripeness for each parcel and we'll be patient as the harvest is likely to finish at the end of October.
